Remus walked through the door to flowers and trees and sun-bright sky. He smiled with delight upon seeing his two best friends, though tears threatened to fall.
“About time you got here,” said James.
“Yeah, Moony, let’s go romp,” Sirius suggested, big grin on his face.
Severus sneered from his position next to Lily. Remus just waved before running off into the trees.
Later, as they walked out of the Room of Requirement, Remus pulled him to the side, ground their groins together and snogged him silly. “Thank you.”
“Happy Birthday, my wolf,” Severus said, pleasant satisfaction warming his eyes.
