Consider this my St. Valentine's Day gift to you all--a very angsty, character-death fic!

Summary: Harry sought out Headmaster Snape to try to regain feeling in his life. The result was unexpected, and not in a good way, either.
A/N: Written forpennswoods based on her prompts ANGST and HOT SMEXING! My muse kept leaving me, so I read all of Cybele’s fic If You Are Prepared while writing the latter half of this to keep me in the proper mood. Worked like a charm. A big round of thanks goes to my beta-reader, keppiehed .
Inspiration for part of the plot was taken from the recipient's own art piece, The Headmaster's Boy, NWS. The rest of the plot was derived from my own feelings about the dispatch of Harry's Horcrux from the ending of Book 7, i.e. the way JKR handled it didn't set right with me, mostly because of Hermione's statement that a vessel the Horcrux is in has to be put beyond even magical repair. This did not happen in Harry's case.
