A/N: Written for DMHG Challenge February 2015 prompt: just a game. Never submitted because I forgot about the due date.
They were intercepted by the Slytherins just outside Charms.
“Golden Gryffindorks only up to bronze standards today?” Draco sneered at them, referring to their terrible performance in class.
“That’s an insult to the Ravenclaws,” Hermione returned.
Draco shrugged. “Doesn’t bother me. You’re all lower than us anyway.”
“But as silver, you’ll always come in second.”
Draco’s stare became icy cold. “You could only dream of reaching such heights.”
“Then I’ll be able to laugh as I watch you fall from them,” she told his retreating back.
Her friends chuckled. After the war, the bantering was all just a game now.
