Of Pirates and Kings

I was talking with Keppiehed over at FF.net about poetry and she gave me three phrases as possible prompts with which to write new poetry. This may end up being a regular practice for me and so you will see the results here.

Phrases were "of pirates and kings", "making men out of boys", and "the paths of grass".

I told my husband about this and he came up with his own poem based on the prompts. He has given permission to post it here along with mine. Warning: it's light-hearted (in a way) and raunchy!
