Severus rolled over in bed, groaning at his stiff muscles.
“Morning, sunshine,” Remus said, grinning from the doorway. “Ready to start the day?”
Severus gave him his meanest death glare, which had little effect, and barked, “It’s my sodding birthday. I can do what I like.”
“So you want to lie in bed, wishing away all your aches and pains, and miss my special birthday waffles?” he asked, coming to sit on the edge.
“Actually, I do believe my wish is granted.” He pulled Remus off balance, throwing him down and shagging him, until the waffle iron screamed from downstairs.
