Summary: Fluttershiy coxes the June bug bride out of the ground.
Author's Notes: So hubby started this fic for me verbally, and I typed it up and added some empelishments and basic information. Blame him for everything. :)
So, so to set this up a little bacgkground info first: hubby and I and kids have been watching My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic since it showed up on Netfilx. Hilarious as shit. You guys gott a try this. Pinkie Pie cracks us up everytime.
But I digress. Anyway told hubby tonight was drunk writing inight and he said “okay” and told him the prompts and he said “you should do June bride, but like June bugs instead”. Is this being meta? Don’t know, okay.
So I’m setting this story in Ponyville where My Little POney takes splace.
Shutterfly is out in the forest making friends with all the animals, beacause that’s what she does it’s her special gift.
Anyway, she’s pawing at the ground, saying “Come out, June bride, come out. The sun is warm and the day is lovely. Your groom awaits in the lush medadow.”
And this june bug larva basked in white crawls through the dirt and out into the sunshine and sheds it carcass .. no wait, that ‘s a cicada. Alhtough June bugs probably have to molt as well. hmmm. Okay so she’s molted and ocomes out in her solid June bug form, but still oddly white for her bride’s outfit.
Shutterfly is ectstatic for her new charge. “Oh, wyou look so pretty@!” [damn, I just realized her name is Fluttershy. Why dio i ckeep thinking that different? *headdesk*]
So the pny leads her charge to the alter, where the June bride weds her beau.
“Ah, another firendship success,” sayd Twhilight Sparkle. “I umust write a missive about this to Princess Celestia.” Because that’s what she does at the end of vevery episode, report to the Princess what she slearnes each week about friendship, henche the name of the show.
“It’s so wonderful, isn’t it?” says Fluttershy.
“Yes it is,” reply Rarity, coming up beside Fluttershy and nuzzling their snouts together. Yes, they have a quitet thing going on. I sooooooo see these two together. :)
The wedding was lovely and at least the bride didn’t bite off her grooms and head and eat it the way a praying mantis bride does. Ewww. That’s just disturbing.
