Podfic sign-ups have opened at ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
hp_podfic_fest at THIS POST. Please consider signing up to read a favorite fic. We would love to have more people participate!
If you are new to podficcing, it's super easy!!!
1) find a fic you like and get permission to record from author
2) install free software (Garage Band for mac, Audacity for windows)
3) open software and click on "record" button
4) read the story! (if you mess up a line, just repeat it, then keep reading)
5) click "stop" button, save project
6) edit out mistakes; highlight the section with your mouse and click delete
7) save project again
8) export as mp3
That's it! Easy peasy.
