Teach Me
Title: Teach Me
Author: starduchess
Pairing: Minerva/Hermione
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 200
Warnings: femmeslash--my first!
Hermione had stayed after classes to grade Charms papers when Headmistress McGonagall came in.
"I would like a private word, Miss Granger."
"Of course." Hermione locked and spelled the door against eaves-droppers.
"I feel you may be headed for a mistake in your personal affairs, and I would be remiss if I didn't address my concerns with you now."
Hermione was delighted in her boss' caring, although there were days when she wished there could be something deeper. She had always admired the older witch, and occasionally that would shift into attraction. Mentally shaking herself, she said, "Go on."
"It appears to me that Ronald has grown lax in his attention to you. You are a bright young woman who needs someone more your equal." At this McGonagall put her hand lightly on Hermione's wrist. "I have a wealth of knowledge not found in any book."
Hermione smiled demurely for the Headmistress had hit upon her secret heart. "I would like that very much." She stepped forward so that McGonagall's fingers traveled up her arm. With a leap into the unknown, she breathed, "Teach me."
The brush of lips was the lightest of kisses but contained the heaviest of promises.
