snarry_ldws week5 prompt: fluff and the phrase: "We could try muggle magic." I had originally written this entry but felt it had too much flangst and the mods were specific about the entries being completely fluffy. This other one I came up with at the last minute and, no matter what
keppiehed says, I still hate it. Apparently everyone else did, too, as it was voted out that week.
They sat contemplating various options from the formal stiff affairs of the high purebloods to the simple elopement method of showing up at the Ministry with two witnesses in tow. They discussed every detail from clothes to flowers to food but most especially the magic rites to be used, a mutual bonding of minds and hearts.
Finally Severus suggested, "We could try muggle magic. I've always been partial to hand-fasting."
Harry listened and grew enamored of the idea. "Okay, when?"

They stood before the assembled crowd, a glow of happiness surrounding them. Severus dressed in green and silver looking every bit the dignified groom while Harry wore red and gold befitting a bride.
Kingsley officiated, saying, "Do you both come freely to join in matrimony?" They did.
He asked them to grasp forearms then laid several strips of rope over them and tied them as each man spoke their vows.
"I, Severus Tobias Snape, Lord Prince, do give the entirety of my being and my magic to Harry Potter in joy and adversity, in wholeness and brokenness, in peace and turmoil for all of my days."
"I, Harry James Potter, Lords Potter and Black, do give the entirety of my being and my magic to Severus Snape in joy and adversity, in wholeness and brokenness, in peace and turmoil for all of my days."
Light swirled around the couple as the bonding took place.
Kingsley blessed them. "Like a star let your love be constant. Like a stone let your love be firm.
"By the power of magic exchanged here today, I pronounce you wedded."
Absolute bliss engulfed them as they shared a passionate kiss. Shouts and cheers erupted around them as Weasley Wizarding Wheezes fireworks exploded overhead.
They couldn't be happier.
