“In conclusion, we need earlier intervention for Muggleborns: to introduce them to Magic, to give them a cultural headstart, to ensure their proper care, and to minimize incidents with the Statute of Secrecy. Please vote ‘yes.’”
Draco stepped down from the platform and resumed his seat within the Wizengamot. Hermione was very relieved; the purebloods had less to complain about with one of their own supporting this legislation.
She was nervous as the tallies went up, but it was easy to see a satisfactory ‘yes’ to the voting.
She looked over at Draco and gave him a small, thankful smile.
